Best of Both Worlds
Welcome to Elizabeth, NJ! While you are with us, we are going to show you the best of what the gateway to the state of New Jersey has to offer, and why Royal Caribbean chose to host their excursions here!
Begin your tour with the best of both worlds. Take a walk through history, in modern times. Beginning at the Snyder Academy of Elizabethtown, discover the history of Alexander Hamilton. The Broadway play and US ten dollar bill may have made Hamilton a house-hold name, but before any of his famous actions, he went to school right here at The Academy of Elizabethtown.
After you finish your tour of The Snyder Academy of Elizabethtown, you venture over to Liberty Hall Museum, the home of Alexander Hamilton and NJ’s first Governor. You will walk the same grounds as 9 U.S. Presidents and look at authentic American history dating back to the 1700’s... we don’t have replicas here!
After walking through history, the next part of your tour allows everyone to “shop til’ they drop”. New Jersey’s largest Premiere Indoor Outlet Shopping Mall, The Mills at Jersey Gardens, a SIMON Property, has over 200 outlets stores, including Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Coach, America’s largest Tommy Hilfiger and so many others that are at outlet prices, with 0% tax on clothes and shoes!
Don’t be afraid of buying too much either! Being NJ’s number one tourist attraction, SIMON: The Mills at Jersey Gardens is visited by travelers from 157 countries and all 50 states - and the one thing everyone has in common is purchasing suitcases. These suitcases aren’t just for shopping for upcoming travels, but for people who are shopping before heading home after their vacation. Just fill your brand new suitcase with as much as you can fit and check it at the airport. It’s that simple to save big and worry less about your vacation shopping habits.
It’s easy to see why Elizabeth, NJ was named 5th Best City for Shopping in 2015 and a Top 5 Emerging Destination in 2016. All of that shopping is sure to work up an appetite! Head on over to the Dining Emporium, located on the second floor of The Mills at Jersey Gardens, and fuel up with any of their diverse, delicious cuisine offered.
